Sigtes and the gurls!

So it’s Carnival time here in Spain, well and couldn’t happen to be any better that I had recently met 3 sweet girls from the US. All differently unique and great.
We all happen to be in the same language course. (which by the way the language course is going pretty good ;) ) I know I will get there.. Eventually.
So one of the Girls Angela (yes indeed I have to friends now called Angela), she got us hooked up with these event planners for college students. “Drive down to Sitges, where the Carnaval takes place on a private bus, including a bottle of sangria for everyone!! (Sitges is a summer- beach town 30-40 min from BCN, and Carnaval there equals a lot of gays and super fun ^^) ,
So as we all have our spot saved we met up at night and went to Carnaval. I was dressed as a peacock, ends of being peacock + some alcohol= a crazy bird, but yes… we went. How fun seriously there were so many people it was quite unbelievable.
We watched the parade, I have no clue what happened later on, I just knew that I looked at Angela and she towards me and we had no clue where the other group was or had gone. So even the girls, Caitlyn and Trina, we had traveled down with were gone. So we just took it as it was and just danced around, walked around, being silly as can be, and yes.. Enjoyed the time. Danced with gurls we didn't know.. haha even spanish, catalanas hahah, So it got to the point of needing to head back to the bus and we both didn’t have a clue how to get there, sooo we squeezed and walked through one of the most crowded street ever and tried to orientate ourselfs, seriously and tried to get through, as we got split a part through all the crowds pushing , we just said or looked the “keep walking and we will see each other at the end” kind of looks… haha… shouldn’t wouldn’t should have done that!… Angela, Angela, Angela?! Where are u?! I looked for 15 minutes, up and down. went on top of brick walls to find her in the crowd.. nothing eijajaja, so I was stuck alone.. I actually (how funny is this) saw a friend of a friend (crazy because I know bout only 7 people in BCN) and just joined their group until I drove back home. Wooow, quite the thaaaang, I took the train, because I had no clue where the Bus was meeting- let me tell ya there was a huuuuge line to get into the train and the sun was coming up aswell- my cell phone you are wondering?! - haha, it fell and it had turned off- of course I didn’t know the pin to turn it on with.. Eijaja.. Haha.. a bit too much drinkiiing huh?! haha

great times, great times....so to the other story...
So Caitlin and Angela and I went to the Park… and played one funny funny game…
?Guapa o Guapo?… translated as Pretty girl or pretty boy…
The game goes like this, find two ugly people, fat, funky, nasty any type similar to that… haha and decide if you had to, which one you’d “do” … ou my gosh, this might be silly and funny sounding to you, but I have never been this close to peeing in my pants ever.. And this many times…. Eijajaj It’s freakin’ hilarious!!!
Well got some news about my living situation, sooo stay tuned!
enjoy the videos of us!! carnaaaaaaaaaaaval... sitgesss
... haha
BELIEVE me when I say, I wasn't even drunk yet!!

Crowded...

It's the little things that make you smile, but is it enough?!

(sorry I had taken me this long to finally write again, much going on)
As the Au pair lifestyle can be a little bit ruff, I have learned to listen to clues. It really isn’t bad this lifestyle. Let me just point out some things about it, not considering them wrong, bad or good. Vale? So being the new Au pair is probably quite interesting and comforting when you really are the FIRST new Au pair. But I have been maybe what Au pair number 10, 12, 14 I don’t even now. (the little girl said: “We already had a thousand Au pairs) So taking it as it is, the Mother, Father as are the Kids are very used to the lifestyle the way of “Au pair” -what to I expect and much more. For I am not very familiar with the concept. “My theory” is that it becomes so “Known” to the people, that they leave out the “this is what you need to do exactly” part and do it day by day- kind of like “ou did I forget to tell you this“. Which is fine. I am not even sure with where I am going with this list. You do not live at home, sometimes you are in a foreign country, with foreign cultures, - language, - people and - holidays. It just is a difference. Now having done the change already in many situations I am more prepared then others I think. But there is one gesture that makes you feel very welcome and taken into place. It’s the gesture of belonging. As my Au pair parents brought me “hello kitty” cookies, because the know I love “hello kitty“. As I received a card from Pandora (where I recently skied at) from my Au pair Family. As I just sat with the Parents and Family friend in there “wine room” and drank good wine, eat and talked about many funny things, like 2010, the rich and important people that are ruling and have a lot of power, lots of politics , may I tell you that the “guest” is a PR, Public Relations from German. Very intelligent man and also very “crazy”. These are just the nights, when you were invited and feel a part. Its great…
… For some reason I do have some contra to give to this one. As I have been here for about 2 month, I all the suddenly am being used for every little “sponge” of time the Au pair family can use me with. One week I babysat 4 times (which 2 is normally the max) I wake up the kids 4-5 times a week up instead of just 1-2. I sometimes now have to work weekend days. Which is really funny because, last minutes, 2 hours to, my Au pair mother calls me and says: ou u don’t have to come today?! So great now how am I even supposed to plan anything last minute?!
I opened a gym membership so that I could go and work out, well haha, think about that one twice, because I do not find any time possible, while the gym's business hours suck to get meeee into shape (9am-10pm). So my point of focus here is the time issue. I don’t have time to do anything, just barely a language course and that’s it. - Well wasn’t one of the main goals to also learn Spanish aswell?! So why isn’t it getting any better. Well duh, because I haven’t been talking any absolute any Spanish. It sucks. I go to a language course for 2 h 5 times a week, right, which is good, but my Spanish teacher started talking to us in English at the beginning and now it just sucks, because he accepts that we simply ask in English. So when I am trying to ask in Spanish he’s not helping me and I start speaking in English, because I don’t know how to ask… and everyone is looking at me impatiently Gahh, anyways.. So at the current moment I am thinking about moving families or other accommodations. Because not every Au pair has such a time schedule as me. So I am hoping to find a place to live where that will be accommodated. It’s not only the issue of timing, its where I live as well. I drive into Barcelona and it takes a bit over 1 h and back another one, so 2 h waisted time. Everything doesn’t open until 10 here in Spain, so really my window of possibilities shrank into 10am -1.00. Which really sucks! Really. Valldoreix, the town I live in, has almost nothing to accommodate you with. Not even a gas station. So it’s frustrating because at night after I am done working from 2-9 pm there is just nothing to do. squeze an hour of workout in there till 10 and basta-day is over! I could drive into the city at night, but got to consider it takes 1 h there, 1 h back and a late night call to my host dad, so he could turn the alarm off (quite uncomfortable to kick someone out of bed in the worst hours at night ^^). Well and that has been limited to a small amount as well because my babysitting accurse on weekends. As an example last weekend was Friday and Saturday babysitting time?! Really?! I know my Au pair Family likes me a lot. I know they are friendly and kind to me. So my situation is not bad, I have heard of a bad cases and it's not one of those at all, but  I also don’t feel very “close” to the parents though. I feel that the mum has a weird sight, towards au pairs. There is so much that takes place in feeling comfortable. I feel that my Au pair mum has a bit of a “controlling” personality. Her one daughter is one handful, and she doesn’t get set any boundaries, nor any consequences for her action. So imagine having to work with somebody, who’s parents are teaching them, that “it’s okay to do whatever, because I don’t get in trouble anyways” kind of attitude. Sooo at the current stage, I am not doubting that I could find a better place with more time for myself. I have something I am looking into, so as soon as I know, I will be sure to tell ya’ll about it.!!
I know the girls will be sad, they really do like me soo much, but this is my year, A year I took for myself and why should I settle for less, isn't that what I did the last 4 1/2 years, work, work and more work. So see it as selfish or not, I do want to find a place that accomadates me with, love and a feeling of belonging. A place that respects my values and needs/wants aswell as I theirs! So in good hopes of finding that Family, I am on my way to do! This is my time, my time alone!!
(Here are some pictures, when the girls and I had a “ladies night”. We crafted birthday cards, for the girls birthday. My Au pair child and I have been planning the Birthday together, which is Alien themed. It’s way cool. We drank self-made “caipirinhas” which is a alcoholic beverage (of course left out the alcohol). We made ourselves mini sized hamburgers. We read stories and did have a looooot of fun. The other pictures are of a day we ate out. We went to a Chinese restaurant, where the tables where in a pound of water and fishes were swimming all around, very cool.
So guys, I am not necessary feeling totally unhappy here, I just know that I don’t want to settle for less anymore and make my time as memorable as possible! Stay tuned, because I met some cute girls, I need to tell ya’ll bout!)

Struggleling in Barca,

My first struggles in Barca,

As I told you about my "first" confrontation with my Aupair Mum in Andorra (ski- vaca),I got to thinking and was super nervous these days. I felt like maybe they weren't happy with how I was.
To my part, I really do try. I keep my bathroom (el bano) super clean, as well as my Bedroom (el dormitorio). (She wants them mopped once a week and well cleaned) I don't leave anything laying around. I say thanks, I am super polite, I try to join into Family activities. I try to play with the kids (which they are super busy, we don't ever really have time to play, but the girls are starting to grow on me, we are bonding ;) ) Follow her instructions, ask if I could help when I see them doing "housework" like laundry, cooking and so on, I clean the kitchen , wash dishes/ empty the dishwasher, things that could be expected- I try. So as its not as easy to know how things and people like things to be done- I try to guess! Well ….I guess there were a few things she needed to tell me.
One morning she came in my room and said, we need to talk. She said: what are you doing now. You seem like you are on the waiting list. What are your plans. Are you staying here, are you thinking about doing something else?!
- it was strange the talk, since I didn't know what exactly she meant with "waiting list" and couldn‘t read the orca of the conversation,--- was it negative or positive -or even both!?. She said that Au pairs have it pretty easy and that there are things that she automatically does, but the Au pair should be doing them. (was that I sign of me not doing things- or just a statement). I wasn't sure and after that talk I was just totally sad. I was confused. Followed by strange days of "not being woken up and told to eat breakfast" Then I was also told that they will start having a Meal plan. (a few days before that, she said that they waited for me for lunch- but I never came- in my defense I had told them I went to go workout) I am not sure when we eat and when to tell them.. and eijajaja. A lot of things you see!
So As I am just worried and not feeling comfortable. I am trying to find solutions. My friend was suggesting a job position as a "cleaning lady" also with room and board, same hours more physical work but also more money. So I was enjoying that thought for a while. But How would I tell them this (my current Au pair fam). Hmm, happens to be that the job offer I got, was the German friend of my Au pair mother. (this would just complicate the situation even more) therefore I wasn't sure if I should even have my Friend Angela ask about the position. Well she did and her Au pair mum said that I was "too good" for this job. Then at night time my au pair mum was on the phone with My friend Angela's Au pair mother. So now I was totally confused and scared that she would say something. Aghh, gah…..!
Then I received the “good” news from Angela- my friend- she said. Andy your Fmaily totally loves you. They were just lifting you up high. They were so pleased and said it is working out so well. Jipiiiiie…. Gah, So happy… next morning… what can I say, I saw the light and the positive again :D… my Au pair mother so cute.. Bought me these cookies.. “hello kitty” cookies, because she knows I love “hello kitty” hahah… supper sweet.
We had some great sunny days… Some lunches with the family, delicious deserts.
Ou, I started school. It is a language school in Barcelona. Metropol. I am currently catching up 30 hours of class in 6 hours of private lessons, therefore I will be able to join back with the group (hopefully) so every day I have these lesson with her, we go through 3-4 chapters.. And my brain is in overload.. I feel like I don’t have the chance to practice one thing slowly.. Eijaja.. Not so sure how this is going to go.. Well Andy, time to get to work and study… Going out it put down for a while, focus and structure is much needed… and it wouldn’t be any better then to share this with my Spanish bestie Angela. We just sat down at the beach studied at her place, I help her in English and she helps me with my Spanish! J I am incredibly happy to have found her.. Gah, I don’t get how similar we are sometimes.
She said, my dream car is a mini, in black, convertible… gahhhh mine too but in charcoal; (weird, I know but its crazy).“Andy should we buy chocolate.. “ “ well I only eat dark dark chocolate” “haha so do I” She is a believer… she’s awesome!
She is a person that fits in my life… Introducing the things that I need. And had planned. (like we said back in the treatment center I used to work for.. A total healthy friend and such positive influence) Gah, She is a blessing!
Wednesday- miercales (castellano) aka “miracle day“… is her birthday… salsa, cake and much needed fun J stay tuned!

Soooo much to tell!

Hey ya’ll. I know it’s been a while. I have started about 3-4 blog entrees and never finished one of them. It’s funny, because when I get back onto my computer there is a new theme/ new adventure to talk about. So let’s have a quick run though the past days J yes?!
-I went to Castelldefells, which is one pretty, pretty suburb of Barcelona.
I went jogging at the beach, And let me tell you, I am in love. Love with this beauty! Aghhh, I tell you- I love meee some Barciii.
Such a nice, mentally and physically relaxing and spiritual walk/ jogg. It’s nice to have time to just let the mind work with such a great nature sensation!
-I went to Barceloneta, which is a sub division of the centre city, might even be a suburb, not very sure. It’s right by the beach. I’ll tell ya‘, there are clubs and bars lined up. -free entrance! So there are “doormen” that try to pull you into the club (mostly woman) they offer you free drinks and more. We got dragged in twice from the same doorman, he said: “come on another round of drinks for you guapa’s” Very funny. Got to say though-lots of tourist in that area.
I went there with my sweet new friend Angela (did I mention how similar we are- love her) I kept telling her to be careful with her belongings. Don’t just leave your phone, money, cards in the purse. Especially don’t leave the purse on the ground in the club. Well she didn’t want to listen, and got her phone stolen. She was lucky that she kept her other belongings in her jacket- no one got onto that one. Well- this is Barcelona. She always laughs at me, Because I have my little belli sack, where I put everything in=money, id, cell phone You hide it underneath your pants, skirt or dress and it works. So after that day she order us some more over Amazon. The men in those clubs are very, hmmm, they don’t except a simple no. Can I tell you how many men gave me the dirty look, and “cleaning their shoulder from dirt” move.. Haha it’s just hilarious. One man even asked me if I was racist against blacks.. Well whoever knows MEE, knows that it’s quite ironically funny! And all because I just didn’t want to dance. (seriously, these dancing moves don’t belong into public anymore, and let me tell ya, I do not want to dance with someone like this that is nasty or either way.. DO you guys agree?) coming to my next theme…

- One spontaneous night out. Well I had the night off and we said (Angela and I). Come let’s drive with my car into the city centre. Hahaha, may I tell you- I am the funniest driver ever. It’s such a change to drive a stick shift. Angela didn’t even want to try since she said she’s only driven automatic since she had gotten her license. So we are on our way downtown. I killed my car a few times and really just cramped because I laughed this much. Just imagining what the people around us thought. “Rubias can’t drive” haha Anyhow. Angela had found this Salsa club online. We got there and let me tell ya: WOOOOW, seriously, that kind of dancing I will definitely do. Sexy but modest, aghhh.. Loved it. So many many people came up and wanted top dance. Gosh again these Spanish, South Americans just don’t take a No for an answer. They Literaly dragged me onto the floor (yes I was slidding with my feet).. Can you imagine, me, who has no rhythm, can’t follow always wants to lead, never danced a step of salsa, between all these awesome dancers?! Gahhh, it was quite the picture to see. Haha. This old men, who was the first to drag me onto the floor was quite funny. He just taught me and understood. Laugh.. Men unforgettable times. This must have been one of the best nights in barcii. Then let me tell you. Angela is one amazing dancer. From now on she will be giving me Salsa lessons every Sunday.. Privately. Yeahh, quite the thaang because she also taught classes in Germany, but people had to pay. Excited.
Well, the night went on, the men still trying to tell me, dance with me, invite me to clubs… we finally got into our car. Too funny. Gosh, this gurl makes me laugh. So Imagine: Two girls sitting in the car. We are talking about the wild hogs that are in our little village Valldoreix. She was cracking up because I said I was afraid to go jogging past dark, because of the wild hogs. She said, aghh I just couldn’t get myself…. *screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam* aghhhhhhhhhh there is a wild hog, aghhhhhhhh aghhhh. Ou my gosh. We saw a huuuuge, I mean giant wild hog just a couple streets down from where she lives. She was speechless. Laugh. Ou, that girl is always making fun of my preconscious and precautious self, but when she’s in the moment of “misery” she finally believes me. Laugh

-The Official Language School Barcelona Drassanes (EOIBD)
Next morning I had a level test to get into this “language” school. It’s limited space and so it’s very popular because of its low pricing. I had made it one round further and was super excited. When I got there I met a sweet girl (she actually made it I saw) and after a strange setting and ways, I got to talk to a lady in the “beginners” room. She asked me in Spanish and said, ou you really can’t speak Spanish, nooo that is why I am here. Anyways. I didn’t fill out a Level test. She said I didn’t need to. Therefor, I am still wondering if that cut my chances of getting in shorted. They say that they just give out spaces by draw. So well. I didn’t make it, it was quite the bummer, but then I also found another teacher, who’s supposed to be cheap.
Al buen pagador no le duelen prendas.A good payer will not object to leaving a deposit.
So thanks, I am truly believing that I am being blessed and that things will go as supposed. So I do try to drag myself out of my “dreaming, I wish it would be, this way or no other” mentality. And try to trust and pray. For All the hard times this is what I am relying on. As well as for the good ones as they must all be a blessing.
-Skiing in the Pyrenees , Country - Andorra… Which is 2 1/1 hours from Barca away. The only country which language officially is Catalan. It was very interested vacation. But also fun. I guess it’s hard traveling with young kids and especially being surrounded 24/7 by them ( sharing the same room). I felt like I couldn’t breath or think myself. Even ended up with a small confrontation with my Aupair mum, as she was lecturing me about: Pushing the kids to pack there clothes and to not worry about my own needs (like make-up, packing) because that’s what I was here for, to help her, and she shouldn’t have to do this. Hmm, you know. I understand where she is coming from. She was stressed, little sleep (the little girl had fever and woke them up and kept them up all night) and then she had to deal with the kids packing. But I really was telling them to do their crap, to pack it up, to move along. She just didn’t observe it. Quite frustrating. But it mostly is frustrating because I don’t like constructive feedback, unless I saw it coming. I just don’t take constructive well. I always try to do my best, therefore I won’t get any.. Well I need to work on it. I was very bummed and just was sad. I felt like I took so much upon me with being around them. And still.. Oh well.. Get over it, I say. It’s always easy for me to fall into the negative views.. Sometimes confrontations will come up, until you know all the expectation.. si... well How bout this. I learned how to ski, even got a personal trainer. I am sore, Had my own personal boot camp.. Every day gym 1 ½ h.. ou and Junior the Brazilian who worked down in the SPA department let me go into the Sauna for free. These Latinos.. Eijajaja…Well Good start for my new gym pass I got here in Valldoreix. SI?! Vale… well.. Ya’ll many things.. Many doings and going.. Now I got Thursday till Sunday off…. We’ll see what happens next J

Misunderstandings might just happen (a lot)

So As I am getting ready and stoked for a Salsa dance night with an Au pair I met a week ago, invitation to a typically tapas night (typical spanish food -yumm yumm), pre- salsa lessons and then the "salsa" bar every Salsa dancer would love to be in... sounds like un fanstastica night, or not?! well, I found out that my Host parents had already plans for the same night. They even had told me, but her English is very strange and sometimes it doesn’t make sense. So I guess I just didn’t understand-what a misunderstanding. It was quite the “downer” night because of it. But what can you do.
As this is a journey for myself and I have already had a looot of spare time on my hands-which of course my brain loves to use to think about future planning and who I am and more and more and more. I really have gotten into the same conflict.
Is this right, is this going to make me happy. I love Barcelona, but what am I doing after this, what about getting a job again, going to school and so on. One night when those exact thoughts were just overwhelming my head and brain. I just let it go- I cried a few tears of frustration and began praying and reading the bible. (it’s funny because before I left I talked to a friend, who’s sister went to Spain and said that the first view weeks were difficult for her, too- which I mean, I am looooooving it here so much-it’s more a personal conflict, but back to this)
I wish everyone could be blessed to feel the holy spirit, because its one great, great, great sensation.
This I read up on this particular night:
blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding. For she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. Nothing you desire can compare with her
Proverbs 4:13
As this is a journey (In Spanish it’s viaje-journey, I learned today :o) ) to finding myself and gaining more knowledge and spirit with god, this was quite amazing to read. Because yes I am doing this to get closer to god and to find myself. I just got to do this the right way! And keeping to it. I read up on some great scriptures! I feel stronger- and I know that struggles are ou ye so good for this journey-that’s what it’s all about!
-when life builds a struggle, I am so thankful for the word of god-as in good times!
Did I tell you all that I found this Church Its callked the "International Church of Barcelona". All english speaking. So I asked my Hostmum how far this church was. She laughed and said, great right around the corner. (for as big of a city Barcii is this must be just really funny-but oh so great) We drove by it -it's about two short trainstops 15 min. I am so happy. This Sunday (domingo-I also learned that today as well) I will be going there for the first time. I am so happy and excited... I will for sure keep you updated!
Ou, I got to tell you about my funny shopping experience… ou my I need Spanish! Stay tuned :-*

The Catalan culture

So This past Sunday (domingo) was a festival. I forget it's name and after looking for it on the internet for hours and still couldn’t find it, I gotta say this: It must be a very small “holiday”/”festival” celebrated only in Catalonia. I couldn’t understand the Spanish/ Catalan pages so I figured it must not be well know only to people from Catalonia. So does anyone know what leeks are?! Many American don’t know, so I have to ask. Well there is a vegetable that is very similar but is a bit different in taste. That plant is roasted over an open fire until the outside is nice and black. Then you peel the outer layers off and eat the insight. Dip it in some sauce, yumm yumm. So my Family had people over at their casa, and had a nice little get together. We even sat outside which was very nice. Of course that was just the "first" course and many other things were also eaten. I don't want to be wrong on this (and I must say I always barely understand what my spanish Host dad says to me) but I think this was a holiday to celebrate Catalans "independance". Well if I happen to find out better details I will sure post them. But with as little Spanish as I know you just can't get far. I language course is needed badly. more to that later!
Here are some pictures from this beautiful day!

this is the vegetable that is kind of like leeks (my host dad said that they were only sold here in Catalunia area.

Hola-the night(lifee)

Last night I was out with 2 sweet Au pairs I had met a few days before. They are really sweet and we had a good time. It really is super easy to meet people here in Barcelona. I love that about Barcelona. In Utah it seemed quite hard to meet people, since there is no “meeting” point, where people gather and talk. So anyways. We had a good time.
We drove into the city 10 pm, since the party doesn’t start until late, late, late night! So very cool! We went bought a bottle of champagne and drank it somewhere at a “playground” because I guess drinking publicly on the streets is forbidden. I also learned that it is prohibited to buy Liquor after 10 or 11 pm. I didn’t know that. We went into a “East Indian” supermarket, which most are open 24/7. They guy said:” Hide the bottle under your jacket. I will still sale you!” Haha… very funny
Anyhow, after our warm drinking, we went down Las Ramblas and tried to find a bar in one of the “night scene” streets/areas. One Bar after the other. Really interesting how Barcelona is built. Believe me. Everywhere people. Tons of People. Reminds me a bit of Las Vegas. People where trying to sale beer, they hid the beer under there jackets and as soon as someone walk by they tried to give it to you! Any who, we found the bar, where the girls had met up with some more Au Pairs. Even a boy who was an Au pair as well. There aren’t very many male Au pairs but I guess enough to have met or heard about 2 already! So we were in a bar, which was quite different, not much of my taste, but yeah I guess it was what it was. Rock music, popcorn everywhere on the ground, tables. The bar was stuffed with people. And males everywhere trying to socialize with cute girls like us. Well, spray painted walls, skeletons everywhere. It had a bit of a dirty, very unorganized and chaotic feel. No bueno. Well after a while we finally left. We tried to at least. Because we kept gotten talked to. Annoying. So we finally got going, quickly a late night walk, which ended up not being quick or short. It was one loooooong walk I‘ll tell ya‘. We finally got to a place. It was right by the ocean. A tourist road again, with big hotels lined up at the beach. We still had to walk more. I think we didn’t get there until 1 ½ hours later. So as we finally got there-we were told that we weren’t going to get in for free. Suckyy, because it cost about 20 dollars, that we poor au pairs just didn’t want to spend or have. (with only 50-75 euros the week you can’t do very much, it‘s “pocket“ money) Soo cool, Now we had walked this long of a way to go right back?! No, I don’t think so- I will find a way. In the clubs it’s forbidden to smoke, so people have to come outside to smoke a cancer stick. It was a little section in front of the door, So I quickly asked people if the had gotten stamps. No-nada! So we took our jackets of and did as if we had paid and where outside smoking! Haha-it worked… silly Spaniards! (did I tell you that right on the beach are about 10 clubs all by one another and while walking along the beach(I looooooooove the ocean soo much, the sand everything, muy bien, anyway back to) where so many people sleeping on benches, probably people that where backpacking. Real funny! ) We were inside! Well, to the club, it wasn’t very full. I have done a bunch of partying when I was a teenager in Germany. And for some reason I just don’t like it anymore. The scene just isn’t my thang. See, everywhere guys just trying to talk and dance. How many people tried to pull me in--- quite crazy and uncomfortable. Since I know ya’ gotta just be brutal and not nice - I just send them on their way. But really after leaving the “club” in the early morning hours and coming home by 8 in the morning- I just have to say-last time I did that! (of course I can make the time fun.. But nooo I am so done) I would rather go somewhere and chill, talk with friends. But not partying! No bueno. As I had planned to not drink starting in January-so I could focus on finding me, myself and I. Getting to Know what I like, what I want, what will make my life loveably and liveably wonderful and fulfilling, letting God stand in my life deeper and much more. I decided today that this will be also my last day drinking for a year or longer! I am so happy and feel so blessed to have such insight with my young years! I really am. I pray and thank God for all the struggles, hard times and good ones he brought up on me- because therefore I am so much more tolerable and all this insight ( and more to come). I also don’t want a meet a man on my journey, because this is Only, ONLY, only about me. And I know it won’t be hard to ignore these man (like cockroaches trying to hang all over girls in Barce), because my heart is still with someone else, siempre contigo. But This is my journey to myself. So my “game plan” looks like this.
Be as busy as can bee- go to church, meet fellowships, participate on bible studies
-go to the gym, find activities I want to do, like dancing salsa or some Latin dance, participate in races like a marathon and train. Study Spanish very well and go to school for it, maybe find some other club to join (as my au pair family is very busy always doing clubs, activities and everything -they got mee quite inspired onto that lifestyle!) Learn Spanish cousin cooking!!!! (a total must)
-to see Spain and enjoy it’s beautifulness in every breath and step I make! - I am grateful! I thank God- without him I wouldn‘t be where I am!
(Stay tuned because I have more to tell about my loveable city de Barcelone! Un fantastica ciudad)
